Bad News - We Will Miss You.
Dexter's Place will be shuting down shortly until further notice.  I do not wish to do so, but I do not have the finances to further this project.  I hope in the short future, I may be able to bring this project to life again.   Until then, We at dextersplace.com must say good bye.

Getting Organized in a Disorganized Life PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 08 September 2008

One of the most difficult tasks for many people is that of becoming more organized in their lives and also at home. Time is critical when it comes to organization and organization also requires commitment and self discipline. In the past year gas prices have left consumers in a state of shock and it may get a lot worse before ever getting any better. With gas prices on the verge of tripling the amounts we were used to paying, itʼ s certainly worth considering the idea of saving money by saving gas. Deciding to do this is the easy part. Understanding Blogs PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 16 August 2008
Blog is a word derived from the term “web log.” A blog is like an online journal, where people can post about literally anything. It is a website and it can be updated frequently. People who have blogs are called bloggers and there are many of them. Many blog sites are free and any search will provide you with many options. Blogs are a place for you to say something – anything. You can blog about your vacation, the birth of your child, your pets, your career, your political beliefs, or anything else that suits you. Blogs are excellent forms of expression and, for all intents and purposes, they belong to the blogger.

History of Domain Names

The US department of ARPA i.e. Advanced Research Projects Agency started financing with a wide area network which was completely experimental and was called ARPAnet in 1960’s. Centrally administered file called HOSTS.TXT was used by ARPAnet which held all name-to-address mapping for each of the host computer connected to the ARPAnet.  HOSTS.TXT worked well since there were only a handful of host computers in the beginning.
